Wild Horses

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is responsible for managing the wild horses found in 10 of the western states. To manage populations, herds are rounded up, horses are adopted and gentled through various programs. They attract photographers around the world come to see them in the wild. These horses are named by those who follow them in the wild, and sometimes names change as the storyline takes a new form, their stories are all unique and captured in the pages of this magazine.

Send in your short story or a comment on how you support the wild mustangs on the west coast!

New Comment

Last year for the Oregon Teens and Mustang Challenge I sponsored Houdini’s stall for $100. This supported London’s Mustang Makeover and the hard work she put in this year with a beautiful south steen gelding.
